Footprints
I saw your footprints
in the snow one day,
Recollecting
your true generosity and heart of gold.
I even remember
the first time we met,
The minute you
had said hello, I knew I was sold.
I saw your footprints
in the snow one day,
Remembering all
the good times we had to share.
Whether it was
playing drums or just laying in the sun,
We had promised
how much we would always care.
I saw your footprints
in the snow one day,
As right then
and there I started to cry.
Nothing would
be the same without you there,
No matter what
I would do or how hard I would try.
I saw your footprints
in the snow one day,
Reminding me
of you and your adoring family I have known.
I thank you from
the bottom of my heart,
For the love
and kindness your family has shown.
I saw your footprints
in the snow one day,
But soon they
were gone and melted away.
You must have
walked through and filled your tracks,
And I know you
would be in heaven right then to stay.
The
tracks are now gone and so are you.
You will always
have a special place in my heart.
I saw your footprints
in the snow one day,
Of just a memory of a friendship
that will never break apart.
